Hello everyone, testing out a new look for the newsletter so let me know what you think.
🗓 Sunday - 26th December
Eric Holland (57) was arrested at an apartment complex in central Las Vegas, after fleeing a traffic stop.
Police recovered two trucks, a Toyota Tundra, which had been stolen in Las Vegas and a Chevrolet Avalanche, which had been stolen in Santa Clara County, California.
That is not where the story ends however.
Three cooler boxes were found in the Chevrolet, one of them had been sealed shut with duct tape. Upon opening this box, police found a severed head.
A warrant was obtained to search the cars and police found severed legs and a torso inside of the other cooler boxes.
Holland is currently being held without bail, on a charge of open murder. A bail hearing is scheduled for next week.
Robert Maudsley (68) lost his appeal to spend the remainder of his prison sentence in General Population. He was refused on the grounds of being too dangerous.
Maudsley has been kept in solitary confinement, in a specially constructed bulletproof “glass box” housed underneath the ground at “Monster Mansion” HMP Wakefield since 1983.
He had been imprisoned in 1974 after murdering John Farrell (30) who had shown him pictures of children he claimed to have abused.
He was initially sent to Broadmoor hospital but was removed after killing another prisoner, David Francis (26) a child molester.
He was then moved to Wakefield prison where he killed another two prisoners, both on the same day.
Salney Darwood (46)
William Roberts (56)
Darwood was a domestic abuser who had killed his wife and Roberts had sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl.
There had been claims in the press that Maudsley had committed cannibalism and had eaten a part of David Francis’ brain, whose body was found with a spoon sticking out of his head.
An autopsy proved this false, the spoon was merely a makeshift weapon that had been rammed into his brain, via his ear.
The press, to this day, still refer to him as the “Brain Eater” or “Hannibal the Cannibal” despite the fact they know this to be false.
Which says an awful, awful lot.
You can read more about this case here, there is a lot to unpack.

Lafayette City Court Judge, Michelle Odinet resigned today.
Why?
On 13th December a video surfaced of her viewing security footage of an attempted burglary at her home. In this video, she repeatedly and gleefully uses racial slurs.
She blamed her racism on a sedative that she had taken due to being shook up over the attempted crime.
I blame her racism on the fact she is racist.
Good riddance.
A Shooting at a Mall of America store in Minneapolis left 2 people wounded.
